The plaintiff alleged that the defendant bowling alley was negligent in applying lane conditioner so that it encroached on the bowler’s approach area, causing the plaintiff to slip and fall while bowling. The defendant denied liability and negligence.

On November 29, ________ the male plaintiff was a patron at the defendant’s bowling alley. While standing on the approach on one lane, the plaintiff slipped and fell on what he determined was lane conditioner that had somehow seeped onto the approach area where the bowlers stand. As a result of the fall, the plaintiff alleged a ruptured quadriceps tendon for which he underwent two surgical procedures.

The plaintiff brought suit against the defendant, contending that the defendant failed to properly maintain the bowling lanes and created a dangerous condition for patrons.

The defendant denied any liability for the incident.

At the conclusion of the trial, the jury found in favor of the defendant and against the plaintiff on liability.
