Defendant automobile driver allegedly causes accident by turning left from country club into path of plaintiff motocyclist - Liability only.

The plaintiff motorcyclist maintained that the defendant driver made a left turn out of a county club driveway into the path of the plaintiff causing a collision. The plaintiff was proceeding westerly on the roadway containing one lane in each direction.

The defendant denied that the plaintiff’s version was accurate. The defendant contended that as he was making the left turn, the plaintiff traveled around a nearby curve at an excessive rate of speed, lost control and fell to the roadway prior to the motorcycle itself striking the plaintiff’s car. The defendant presented an independent eyewitness who corroborated this version.

The jury found for the defendant.
