The unprovoked attack began when Kless was attempting to hail a cab and the drunken trio pulled up in a car alongside him.

In ________, the family of the deceased filed suit in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, naming as defendant, Lucy’s Hat Shop and G Lounge – two bars that had previously served the defendants. The plaintiffs accused the defendants of liability for over serving the three assailants – two of which were underage – beyond the point of visible intoxication. Such behavior would be in violation of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.The suit was resolved via settlement for $________.
