The plaintiff alleged that the defendant, Ford Motor Company, defectively manufactured the entertainment/communication system in a ________ Ford Explorer XLT purchased by the plaintiff. The case was brought under the Federal Magnuson Moss Warranty Act. The defense disputed the plaintiff’s claims, and maintained that any problems with the entertainment/communication system were adequately repaired, and the system was operating as intended.

The plaintiff claimed that the entertainment/communication system in his new vehicle did not operate properly, and the defendant was unable to correct it after numerous attempts. The plaintiff alleged that the system would not allow him to use the voice recognition function for navigation, and did not recognize certain addresses.

The plaintiff sought $________ for diminution of the vehicle as a result of the alleged defect. The plaintiff also sought attorney’s fees, per the Federal Magnuson Moss Warranty Act.

The defendant argued that the entertainment/communication system in the plaintiff’s vehicle was appropriately repaired under warranty. The defendant has filed post-trial motions for costs and attorney’s fees, pursuant to a proposal for settlement.
