Dr. Kenneth Fisher, as President of Fisher Maritime Consulting Group, has been analyzing boating and marine casualties involving a wide variety of recreational and small craft, as well as ships, since 1976. The professional staff of Fisher Maritime has prepared expert witness reports, expert witness declarations, and numerous analyses supporting or defending claims and litigation. The analyses emphasize reliance on fundamental principles to enhance appreciation by juries and courts. Attorneys from all coasts as well as inland lakes and waterways throughout the US have called upon Fisher Maritime to provide expert witness support services covering each pertinent phase of maritime design, construction, maintenance, repair and operation.

Fisher Maritime has analyzed the fundamental causes of nearly every conceivable type of casualty, including, but not limited to, manufacturing defects, design defects, operator error, supplier error, maintenance/repair error and failure to warn. Fisher Maritime routinely deals with questions of the potential of exposure of shipboard and shipyard employees to asbestos. They have prepared several analyses pertaining to the presence of PCBs, lead, and heavy metals at shipyard and ship-scrapping sites in order to address industrial hygiene issues. These analyses can be used as a basis for assigning or recovering clean-up costs.
