Dr. H.S. Farmer, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a full-time ENT practitioner and surgeon in private practice. He trained at Washington University. He is Board certified and FACS. He serves as Senior Attending Surgeon at Princeton Hospital in Princeton, NJ. He also performs as a consultant at McCosh Infirmary (Princeton University Health Service) and is a special consultant to the Princeton University Employee Hearing Conservation. Dr. Farmer is a Clin. Assoc.Prof. Surgery (ENT), UMDNJ/RWJMS. Previously he lectured in basic sciences and clinical ENT, and was head of the student teaching program for the first 20 years of the school’s existence. He is also a member of the Expert Advisory Panel of the NJ State Board of Medical Examiners and of the Healthcare Quality Services, Inc.; Peer reviewer for the MDAdvantage Insurance Co.; one-time Officer of NJ Acad. of Otolaryngology; and one-time Member of the Board of the NJ Sleep Society. Dr. Farmer has been appointed by two New Jersey governors to serve on two citizens' councils in the past. He was involved in organizing the state’s original newborn auditory testing program, and in formulating the state’s original hearing aid dispensing regulations.

Medical Legal Experience:

Dr. Farmer has in one form or another been involved in over a 130 cases representing both plaintiffs and defendants. He has performed many truly independent IME’s. He has been an advocate for accident victims seeking damages for their injury related disabilities and for Veterans of US Military conflicts seeking relief for noise induced deafness and tinnitus.
He has experience with cases in CA, FL, LA, MD, MO, NJ, NY, PA, TX, UT.

  • Presentation to Grand Rounds of the Dept of ENT at Jefferson Medical College in Phladelphia, PA, March, 2009.
  • Various presentations to lay groups and in-service training programs on noise, hearing, hearing aids, snoring, and apnea issues.
