Dr. John H. Fullerton is board certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Hospice & Palliative Medicine and Addiction Medicine.  Additionally, he is a Licensed Medical Review Officer (MRO). He is a full-time practitioner (with mid-level practitioners) and clinician educator, on the clinical faculty of UCSF, Yale, and USC Medical School(s). He served as Director of Geriatric & Palliative Training & Education of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at St. Mary's Medical Center/Dignity Healthcare (SF, CA) from 2009-2016. He is also Director of Geriatric & Palliative Training & Education of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at St. Mary's Medical Center/Dignity Healthcare (SF, CA). Dr. Fullerton practices and clinically instructs PA/NP students, medical students, and medical residents from a number of programs around the country at most levels of care. Dr. Fullerton has Certificates of Added Qualifications (CAQ's) in Long-Term Care (LTC) where he serves as a Certified Medical Director (CMD) for multiple SNF's and AL's (with secured Dementia Units), Certified in Home care, and is a Hospice Medical Director of a large SF Bay Area Hospice.

Dr. Fullerton's areas of testimonial experience as an expert include: Hospital Care (including academic programs), Ambulatory/Out-Patient Care, Long-Term Care, AL (with secured Dementia Units), Medical Directorships, Hospice Medical Directorships (and palliative care settings), disease states in immunocompromised hosts, and in both Civil & Criminal allegations of Elder Abuse. He has testified in mostly medical malpractice and personal injury cases (for plaintiff & defense cases respectively) over 200 times and reviewed more than 1,500 cases in the past 13 years. Dr. Fullerton has expanded his medical expert/forensic role to include product liability cases, Medicare determinations of Medical Necessity and Regulatory Compliance Issues at multiple levels of care for various healthcare systems (both inside and outside-of-state), as well as forensic criminal defense cases (including allegations of Elder Abuse, Aggravated Assault, & Homicide).
